A Registered Nurse renders professional nursing care to assigned patients. This is done under the supervision of the Director of Nurses

Qualifications: The following qualifications are required of an RN by ABC Health Care, Inc.

1. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio OR other state going to work in for ABC Health Care, Inc.
2. Acceptable work reference

Facility Staffing
Duties: The duties that may be performed by the Registered Nurse may vary according to the client. The RN will perform within the job description of the assigned facility. Always report to the Nursing Office at the Facility you are assigned, before going to your unit. You are responsible to follow the policies of each facility. Duties which may be performed as a Staff Relief Nurse are:

1. Participate in the assessment of patient needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care required for one or more patients by:
1. Providing for the emotional, spiritual and physical comfort and safety of the patient(s).
2. Observing, recording and reporting to the appropriate person
3. Performing nursing procedures for which your preparation has provided the necessary skill and judgement
4. Assisting with the rehabilitation of the patient(s) according to the patient-care plan.

2. Receive a report on the assigned patient(s).
3. Make rounds of assigned patient(s)
4. Make necessary assignments of all personnel responsible to you.
5. Assist the physician
6. Administer all medications and treatments
7. Maintain I.V. lines according to Facility Policy
8. Keep all medical records up-to-date, including Kardex and Nursing-Care plan
9. Assist with admissions and discharges
10. Notify charge nurse and/or physician of any changes in patient’s condition
11. Provide assistance to team members
12. Perform routine nursing duties
13. Receive and transcribe Doctor’s orders
14. Give complete and concise report to next shift before leaving the floor.
15. Floating will be per facility policy, check with scheduler.
16. I understand I will not be paid for my orientation at a facility until I have worked 80 hours at that facility. All orientation is paid at the orientation rate.
